Deuteronomy 32:2
"My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distill as the Dew, as the small raindrop upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass."
Have you ever wondered what the “Dew of Heaven” truly is, why it is so precious, and why it carries such immense importance? Today, I want to share with you what God revealed to me about this incredible blessing—a blessing that goes far beyond what the eye can see or what the mind can comprehend.
The Dew of Heaven is not just a dew drop in the morning; it is the favor of the Lord, the covenant blessing from God Himself. As I studied this, I realized that there is something deeper in this Dew that Jacob understood, that he coveted. A secret blessing that flows from the heart of God to His covenant children.
The Bible helps us understand the Dew of Heaven in a very beautiful way. In Deuteronomy 32:2, Moses writes:
"My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distill as the Dew, as the small raindrop upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass."
Here, Moses tells us that the speech of God—the spoken word—is like the Dew. In Hebrew, the word “speech” is imra, which means the utterance, the word of God, the spoken word of God. This is different from the written word of God, which we know as the logos.
Let me explain this simply. The written word of God, the logos, is like raw rice. You cannot eat raw rice—it is not yet nutritional. But when you cook it, it becomes edible and satisfying food. This cooked rice is like the Rhema word of God—the spoken, living, and active word that you receive as a personal revelation from God.
The Rhema word is not just for reading; it is for eating, indeed it is full of nutrition, vitamins and strength for letting it transform your life. When you begin to eat God’s word, as Ezekiel and Jeremiah described, it becomes revelation deep inside. Then you know it, you live it, and it changes everything.
When you have the Dew of Heaven, you receive this revelation. You don’t just memorize scriptures—you understand them. They become alive in your heart. You remember God’s word effortlessly, not just with your mind but with your spirit.
The Dew of Heaven Brings Abundance
Exodus 16:13 tells us:
"So it was that quail came up at the evening and covered the camp, and in the morning the Dew lay all around the camp."
When the Dew fell, something miraculous happened. The manna—the bread from Heaven—appeared. The Dew brought God’s provision, His nourishment, His blessings. The Dew of Heaven is not just a symbol; it is tangible. When it comes, it brings everything you need. It brings life, it brings abundance, it brings Jesus Himself—the true bread from Heaven. Your eyes are opened to see JESUS.
When you have the Dew, you have access to the manna, the living bread, the provision, and the presence of God. This is the blessing of the firstborn, the special favor, the covenantal promise of God.
Dew is Precious!
The Dew of Heaven is more precious than silver, more precious than gold. It is the divine revelation from God, the spoken word that transforms your life. It teaches us that God’s blessings are not just about material provision; they are about understanding scriptures, the living word that sustains our soul.
I encourage you today to seek the Dew of Heaven. Don’t just read the scriptures—receive the Rhema word. Eat it, meditate on it, let it live in you. When you partner with God, when you open your heart to His spoken word, everything you need will flow into your life. The Dew of Heaven is for you. Receive it with gratitude and walk in it and experience all the blessings that come with it.
